The solution presented unifies the spaces and communication cores in the gap between the two buildings in order to be able to develop the needs program and to fulfil the number of houses by presenting two different building typologies. One vertical development volume in Capità Vila str., where two flats per floor are placed, and one of horizontal development, where the dwelling are organized among different floors. This all have a double intention, on the one hand the diversification of typologies that enriches the supply, on the other hand, minimizing as much as possible the impact of common spaces regarding de m2 of dwelling.

The ground floor is delayed in order to improve the sidewalk space, very small in the current state.
The access is unique for all the housing from the passage of Can Curt, through an exterior access hall. Once inside, it is possible to access the dwellings of Capità Vila str. By the vertical communication core, or to go through the access to get in the passage Can Curt's housing through its backyard, above the shops.
A diaphanous ground floor is presented for the shops' distribution, some of them on the Capità Vila's façade and others in the passage of Can Curt, using up all the edificability allowed by law.

From the first floor the access to the duplex typologies D1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 at Can Curt str. are produced through the Community patio-garden, which at the same time connected to the access hall by a staircase and to the communications core of the dwellings in Capità Vila str.
Once inside the duplex type housing, stairs are interior, which avoids to lose quarter meters in communication cores and common spaces and, thus, achieve the required housing programme.

In second floor duplex floors, D1, 3, 5, 7, keep their development with the day zone overlooking the façade. And D2, 4, 6, 8 with two rooms and a full bathroom overlooking the Community garden's façade.
In the vertical development block it follows the same standard typology of two 2-room apartments that repeats itself in all floors.

In third floor duplex floors, D1, 3, 5, 7, keep their development with two rooms and a full bathroom overlooking the Community garden's façade. And at the same time with access to a terrace overlooking the façade at the passage of Can Curt.

Once we get on fourth floor the passage Can Curt's block exhausts the maximum height permitted, so only the distribution of the building at Capità Vila str. appears, which follows the same standard typology of two 2-room apartments that repeats itself in all floors.
The access to these apartments is from an interior hallway like in all the floors below, but in this case it has already the whole façade released, so it has views over the building in the passage of Can Curt and over the Community garden.

In order to keep the roof of the low volume free of installations, all the installations that need the roof for its proper running, such as the solar panels for ACS, will be fitted on the roof of the high element, and will use the vertical communications core for its distribution.
