Ceuta has been generated following the legacies of cultures that have been taking over their territory throughout the history. Defragmented by the lack of planning and disjointed due to its geographical location. Benzú neighborhood repeats a pattern as if it were a fractal structure. The proposal presents a relation plane that gives unity to the whole area, not only able to absorb the program of the project, but to act as a basis for future interventions.

The various elements of the project are understood as stratum that facilitate the relation along this plane.

The recovery of the waterfront, which historically this population has turned its back to, becomes the guideline of the proposal. It proposes a pedestrian walkway that brings the housing together and rests on a linear park that embraces different sports and leisure areas. The legacy of the quarry has marked the abrupt appearance of the area. That is why the intervention is presented as an excavation, recalling the activity developed in the area for years.
