Noteworthy is the aerial image of Soria, which plastically looks like a large ceramic mantle interrupted only by the urban fabric. We could understand Soria has a single large roof for all its buildings with the sole protagonist of the shingle as an element of heritage and tradition.

One of the problems was the lack of cohesion of the slope of the Duero river, dotted with different isolated elements without a relation plane to unify them. It is proposed to lend continuity to the ceramic mantle as a large lava tongue that slides down the slopes of the Duero solidifying and taking over the different important elements that comprise it, creating a two-tier relation plane able to add coherence to the proposal.

We propose a large sustainable tiled roof designed so as to be able to sieve the light and simultaneously collect the rainwater and, moreover, take advantage of its physical features to do for a thermal regulator. At ground level a ceramic carpet is proposed, like a seafront promenade planned with arrowhead cobblestones able to absorb the irregularities of the terrain and vegetation in a way that eliminates the physical barrier of the river providing pedestrian continuity.

The residential distribution is planned to be protected by the large tiled roof developing a system that provides continuity to the articulation of the existing urban fabric.
